STANDING COMMITTEES

HEALTH & GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS COMMITTEE


The Health and Government Operations Committee was created in January 2003. The Committee considers legislation relating to child and elder healthcare; civil rights; emergency medical services; health and life insurance; health policy and planning, including facilities, occupations and public health; health and life insurance; procurement; and State government.

The Committee consists of twenty-five members. It is supported by six subcommittees: Government Operations; Health Facilities, Equipment and Products; Health Insurance; Health Occupations; Long Term Care; and Public Health.

GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
The Government Operations Subcommittee was organized in January 2003.

HEALTH FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS SUBCOMMITTEE
In January 2003, the Health Facilities, Equipment and Products Subcommittee formed.

HEALTH INSURANCE SUBCOMMITTEE
The Health Insurance Subcommittee was created in January 2003.

HEALTH OCCUPATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
In January 2003, the Health Occupations Subcommittee began its work.

LONG-TERM CARE SUBCOMMITTEE
The Long-Term Care Subcommittee formed in January 2003.

PUBLIC HEALTH SUBCOMMITTEE
In January 2003, the Public Health Subcommittee organized.
