Final Report to Governor & General Assembly due Jan. 7, 2003.

The Task Force to Study the State's Retiree Health Insurance Liabilities was initiated in July 2002 (Chapter 348, Acts of 2002). Its charge is to review the report on retiree health care of other states prepared by the Department of Legislative Services in 2000. An actuarial valuation of the liabilities associated with the retiree health insurance subsidy also will be commissioned by the Task Force, and paid for by the State Retirement and Pension System. With its recommendations, the Task Force is to submit the cost of each option proposed.
